The Pullman pack from Filson is based on old-school travel bags that were made to slot under the seats in steam train carriages. And while it might be vintage-inspired, this versatile 37-litre weekender has been meticulously reimagined for the realities of modern travel. Perfect for airline carry-on, the clamshell design opens out like a suitcase, with zipped mesh panel dividers to keep your gear compressed and organised. It’s also got a decent-sized exterior zip pocket for your travel documents and other small essentials. But where the Pullman really comes into its own is the range of carry options. You can keep it streamlined and snag-free with the webbing grab handles, wear it cross-body with the detachable shoulder strap, or for longer distances you might want to deploy the stashable contoured shoulder straps. The Pullman is part of Filson’s more urban-focused Surveyor range, which switches out their usual heavy cotton canvas and wool fabrics for lightweight but tough Cordura nylon with a weatherproof dry wax coating.
