TRAVERSE backpacks are made for use all year round on summits big and small, although the TRAVERSE 40is best suited to multi-day tours that require a good deal of equipment.
A well-ventilated back system and good load distribution are especially essential in a backpack. Thanks to the ribbed, webbed material and perforated foam in the back pads, the Comfort Contact back system provides excellent air circulation and improved comfort. Ergonomically shaped shoulder straps and a broad hip belt distribute weight evenly across the body.
And when it comes to technical features, the TRAVERSE 40has plenty to offer: its spacious main compartment, lid pocket and additional bottom compartment offer enough storage space for multi-day tours. Small items can be stowed away quickly in the adjustable front pocket. The TRAVERSE 40can be opened up completely using the circumferential front zipper, providing a good overview of the equipment inside. Your drink bottles will always be close at hand in the elastic side pockets, as will your map in the special map compartment. An integrated helmet net, hiking pole and ski fastenings, and stowable material loops at the end of the shoulder straps make the TRAVERSE 40the optimal companion for alpine terrain. Additional features such as hydration system compatibility, rain cover, hip pocket and holders for your sunglasses or camera on the shoulder strap round off this versatile backpack.
In the interests of sustainability, 72% of the outer material is now made of recycled polyamide, which makes the TRAVERSE 40extremely robust, with the smallest possible ecological footprint. The TRAVERSE 40is thus ready for long alpine tours that require a good deal of equipment in summer and in winter.

ALPINE stands for a super-wide range of uses, from the valley right to the summit! For multi-day alpine tours with lots of luggage, the TRAVERSE series now has a new companion: The TRAVERSE 40! With an additional bottom compartment, an adjustable front pocket and an extra map compartment, the TRAVERSE 40 is ready for long mountain tours. The back system, the ergonomically shaped shoulder straps and the hip strap provide reinforcement to optimally balance out heavy loads. Just like in the other backpacks in the ALPINE SERIES, the TRAVERSE 40 comes with the COMFORT CONTACT BACK SYSTEM, which has breathable contact pads for continuous AIR CIRCULATION, ensuring pleasant wear comfort.
Clever little features such as hydration system compatibility, crampon and ski fastening options, a hip pocket and a rain cover all come as standard on all TRAVERSE backpacks. The TRAVERSE 40 can be opened up completely using the circumferential front zipper, providing a good overview of the equipment inside.
In addition to the large main compartment, additional bottom compartment and front pocket, this backpack has further compartments in the lid pocket and inside the backpack. Your drinking bottle will always be close at hand in the elastic side pockets.
The standard ORTOVOX features also include an emergency card, chest strap with signal whistle, bright interior color, compression strap and ski holder. Thanks to a PU-coating, the material is water-resistant, and Nylon 210 D Duramax Ripstop adds extra durability.
With all its features, the many fastening options and the partitioned bottom compartment with variable interior space, the TRAVERSE 40 is perfect for multi-day tours when you are carrying more baggage.
