If you’re in need of a fashionable, lightweight and rugged shirt, our Greek Lizard Field Jacket will do the job. These jackets are constructed of a cotton ripstop material, making them light and breathable. They also include four front pockets for storing anything you may need throughout the day.

Greek Lizard & Its History

Greek Lizard is among the drippiest Mediterranean camouflage patterns. The Greek Army has used this pattern since the 1970s, when copies of French Lizard were first produced in Greece. The first runs of Greek Lizardcamouflage were near exact copies of the original French Lizard.

Over the decades there have been some changes to this camouflage, including its colors and shapes. Therehave been other variants issued for use by certain special units, includingone pattern for Greek Navy Special Forces. Another blue, gray and purple pattern was developed for the Greek Navy. Despite the development of a pixelated Lizard-inspired pattern, the original camouflage is still in use by the Greek Armed Forces.

Some variation in the pattern originate from the use of several different manufacturers. Most of these jackets were produced in Greece, but we’ve seen a few that were produced outside of Greece by German contractors.

This Batch of Goodies

This batch of jackets were sourced directly from Greece by AP. After their use by the Greek Armed Forces they were stored in a temperature-controlled warehouse. Having found COVID-era masks in the pockets of these jackets, we assume they were surplusedwithin the last two to three years.

Sizing & Condition Guide:

We’ve sorted these jackets into two condition grades:Issued; Good andIssued; Serviceable.

Issued; Goodjackets will be ready-to-wear right out of the package. No missing buttons, tears, holes or stains.

Issued; Serviceablejackets will exhibit a variety of defects. The vast majority of this grade will be missing only a top button. However, this condition grade will also include jackets with holes, tears, ink or paint stains, missing buttons on the front, back, cuffs or pockets. We will not accept returns for Issued; Serviceable jackets due to condition.

Sizing Guide:

Greek sizes fit one size larger than American. For example, a Greek small is typically a US medium. Weve sorted these shirts into US sizes and have disregarded original size tags. If you order a medium and receive a jacket tagged small, this is why.

Greek XXSmeasure 18″ across the chest, meaning they will fit a US small.

Greek XSmeasure 20″ across the chest, meaning they will fit a larger US small or smaller medium.

Greek Smallsmeasure 21″ across the chest, meaning they will fit a US medium.

Greek Mediumsmeasure 22″ across the chest, meaning they will fit a larger US medium or smaller US large.

Greek Largesmeasure 24″ across the chest, meaning they will fit a larger US large or smaller US extra large.

Greek Extra Largesmeasure 25″ across the chest, meaning they will fit a US extra large.

Greek XXLmeasure 26″ across the chest, meaning they will fit a US XXL.

Greek 3XLmeasure 28″ across the chest, meaning they will fit a US 3XL.
