Not actually a top, but a small backpack. The Greenland Top from Fjllrven is an uncomplicated vintage-style daypack for everyday use, travel or hiking the kind of thing you’d have called a knapsack once upon a time. It’s constructed in a heavyweight version of Fjllrven’s famous G-1000 polycotton, with a classic top-loading design and plenty of padding in the shoulder straps and back panel. The main compartment includes a laptop sleeve (fits machines up to 15″), and you’ve also got side bottle pockets, a front zip pocket and a quick-access zip compartment in the lid. Simple and durable with old-school good looks, you’ll find yourself picking it over your more technical daypacks nine times out of ten.

  Some of Fjllrvens products are instantly recognisable, including the Knken backpack originally designed for Swedish schoolkids in the 1970s and their famous Greenland jacket, first released in 1968. But they also have a knack for combining vintage looks with modern materials and refinements. Products in their Vardag line, for example, were inspired by a deep dive into the brands old catalogues and feature the brands 70s logo instead of the modern one.
