There are plenty of fancy camp pans on the market, but it’s not often you find a full set that nests together as neatly as the Field Cooker Pro cook set from Snow Peak. Consisting of three billies (2.6-litre, 4.3-litre and 6.6-litre), a mesh sieve/colander, and a frying pan with a detachable wooden handle, the whole lot packs down into the largest billy with the upturned frying pan as a cap. All three billies have lids, the largest of which also fits the frying pan. Everything is made out of top-quality steel, and the billies have sturdy 0.5mm thick bases for years of use. A nice extra touch is the frying pan handle case that can also be used as a mini oven mitt. Recommended for gas or charcoal cooking, the Field Cooker Pro pans are available in this larger five-piece package, or a smaller four-piece set.

Snow Peak’s journey began in 1958, when the founder Yukio Yamai, an accomplished mountaineer, created his own line of superior climbing gear. Snow Peak then looked to evolve by shifting its focus from the mountaineering equipment of the past to the camping equipment of the future. Fueled by the booming national interest in auto-camping sweeping across Japan, Snow Peak released a series of radically innovative products which focused on quality, functionality, timeless-durability and considered design.
