Katadyn havent rested on their laurels and the new AC version delivers the same levels of protection with the added benefit of a carbon filter to help reduce any taste from the water source. The filter is effective against microorganisms whilst still giving a fast flow rate, allowing you to fill up and keep going. The soft bottle is tough enough to stand up to the trail, but also means you can roll it up and stash it easily when not in use. The 500ml version is sized to fit into the race vest style chest pockets on hiking packs such as the Osprey Talon and Tempest Velocity.
