These versatile ankle-high socks are knitted from a luxurious blend of pure new wool, with reinforced heel and toe sections. High merino wool content (80%) ensures they are soft, warm, breathable and naturally anti-bacterial. The wool is sustainably produced and responsibly sourced. A little nylon (15%) is then added to the blend for durability and shape retention, plus 5% Lycra for stretch. The result is a great-fitting pair of oh-so-cosy socks that are ideal for daily wear, whether youre braving a frozen commute or practising a little hygge, curled up by the fire with a good book .

• The Ekshrad design is associated with the picturesque Vrmland region a landscape of mountains and lakes in west-central Sweden that has inspired countless painters and writers. The province was also the heart of Swedens mining industry, where iron ore was extracted and smelted before being worked into tools and implements by local blacksmiths. This knit employs patterns inspired by traditional ironwork and is dyed in traditional colours.
